The Purcel Mirror is defined by a precise interplay of geometry and material contrast. A circular mirrored surface is intersected by a vertical brass element, creating a composed tension between curve and line, reflection and structure. Two distinct mirror finishes introduce subtle variation, reinforcing the object’s graphic clarity and architectural intent. The central brass accent is finished by hand using a textural technique that reveals rhythm and depth within the metal surface. This tactile vertical gesture anchors the composition, guiding the eye across the mirror’s surface while maintaining visual restraint.
